2007 Trips:

Palm Springs, CA (Jan. 15–22): for ILCP Annual Meeting and NANPA Annual Summit, focus on conservation photography networking.

Ethiopia (March, date tentative): traveling to Lalibela, Gondar and Axum to visit the Coptic Christian towns and their World Heritage Sites.

France (July): Massif Central’s Aveyron region, photographing waterscapes of Lot River, architecture and lifestyles.

Ethiopia (Sept. 10–29): leading a trip for 6 clients boating down the Omo River amongst exciting indigenous tribal villages, and visiting Axum and Lalibela for the Meskel holidays.

Santa Barbara, CA (Feb. 1–7): focus on beachscapes.

Denver (Feb. 7–13): for ILCP Annual Meeting and NANPA Annual Summit, focus on conservation photography networking.

East Africa (April, May): Kenya – Mara Conservancy with focus on conservation and Nairobi for NGO assignments. Tanzania – Arusha, Tarangire NP, Lake Manayara NP, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti NP and Zanzibar with focus on tourism.

Caribbean island of St Lucia (May 2–10): focus on landscapes, flora, and rainforest.

NY Adirondacks State Park (June 1–5, July 21–25): focus on landscapes.

Seattle (July 28–Aug 7): focus on networking with Danita Delimont, Art Wolfe, Gary Halperin.

St Croix (Nov. 21–28): focus on flora and cultural Mocko-Jumbie Jump-Up festivities.

Santa Barbara, CA (Dec. 18–28): focus on networking with Bonnie Muench, Leslie Westbrook and David Anderson, and photographing monarchs and seals wintering over.

2005 Trips

Ethiopia and Kenya (Aug. 18 to Sept. 24): focus on the Waters of Africa with 3 clients. In Ethiopia we visited Hamar, the Rift Valley Lakes and Bale NP, and boated down the Omo River to Lake Turkana, visiting remote indigenous tribes. In Kenya we stayed at a Chalbi Desert oasis, and sailed on Indian Ocean dhows off the Lamu coast.

Croatia (May 7–19): focus on Zagreb and the Dalmatian Coast.

Santa Barbara, CA (April 22–29): for the wedding of Annette Alexander, my dear West Coast office manager, and to coordinate African photo essays with Bonnie Muench.

Argentina (March 21–April 6): focus on Valdez Peninsula waters, flora and fauna, Andes foothills near Calafate, glaciers near FitzRoy Range.
